would you rather wednesday: famous

would you rather...
be a famous athlete
musician
OR
actor?
(jennifer, give me your hair please)

me, i choose athlete. hands down. i've never acted, and i can't sing for the life of me (or so my husband tells me). however, i have done sports and i am so impressed by some people's god given abilities when it comes to athletics. especially the olympics (with the exception of curling, what is that? worthless!) .  man oh man, nothing makes me feel more like a bum than watching the best athletes in the world compete. although, after watching the justin bieber movie for the second time last night (yes, i am a teenage girl) singing would be a close second for me.

weekend re-re-re-rewind

we had one hoppin' (easter pun intended) weekend!  we enjoyed a couple of game nights and sushi with friends.  Up until now adam has hated sushi but loved it the other day, proof that people can change. i went on a 20 mile training run and lived to tell the tale. i also had breakfast with my favorite girls and bff's. we had tons of easter fun with both of our families. here's the proof...

just a few of the crosby's
i'd guess that adam ruins about 90% of all our pictures by purposely having food in his teeth or closing his eyes.
cutest little mary. sometimes i wish she was mine, until she poops, then i hand back over to her parents.
look at this kid's vest and plaid jacket!  he's the flyest 6 month old i've ever seen.
i made some cookies and ate myself into a sugar coma.  i'm not a huge fan of lemon desserts but these are to die for! my sister-in-laws recipe, give em a try. you won't be disappointed.

Lemon Cookies

3/4 cup soft butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 T. vanilla
1/2 t. salt
1 egg
1 T. lemon extract
1 1/2 T. lemon juice (best with myer lemons...but great with regular as well)
3 cups flour (this is for really dense almost mound like cookies, I use 2 1/2 cups for more of a flat sugar cookie type)
1 t. baking soda

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, salt and egg. Beat until fluffy. Add extract and juice. Mix well. add flour and soda, dont over mix.

Bake at 350 for 11 minutes

Frosting:
1 Box powdered sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
2 t. lemon extract
(i never know how much a box of powdered sugar is...I just add as much powdered sugar as I need until it gets thick enough that it acts as a frosting rather than a glaze.) They are also great with fresh berries on top!

Enjoy!

would you rather: treats

would you rather...
have a cupcake

OR
ice cream?

me, i'm an ice cream kind of girl. frozen yogurt is even better. i have a real hard time resisting it.  i might even get into a car with a stranger if they were bribing me with a vanilla frosty. so what's your treat of choice? if it's not cupcakes or ice cream, what is it? perhaps some easter goodies? cadbury eggs anyone? that's all i want the easter bunny to bring me this year.

oh, deer!

i've never appreciated hunting myself but my husband sure does love it. he'd hang dead animal heads all over our house if i'd let him. thanks to urban outfitters i found this cardboard deer head that was a great compromise. this was one of his christmas presents (yes it took us about 4 months to get it up but it was well worth the wait).

you like?

time to welcome a new member to our family

once upon a time i used to drive a red jeep wrangler. it was my pride and joy. when adam and i got married it started having problems (i.e. completely turned off and the steering wheel locked up while i was going 60 mph on a very busy road and had to walk home, leaving my car there for days).  grudgingly we traded it in and have missed it ever since.  well, after 3 years of sharing a car i'm happy to welcome the newest member of our family...

we're in love.
summer can't come soon enough!

would you rather: barefoot

would you rather...

stick your barefeet in a pair of moist bowling shoes

OR
walk into a gas station bathroom with no shoes on?

(britney spears obviously does it)
both make me wanna barf but i think i'd go with the bathroom cause it's about 30 seconds versus an hour game. what do you think?

p.s. any good ideas for a would you rather wednesday email me at jessiecrosby@gmail.com and i'll give you a shout out! happy wednesday everyone!

on the road again

after a long drive we finally arrived in lovely palm springs.  we're here visiting my grandparents for the week. adam will spend his time golfing and i'll spend my time at the pool and shopping with the women.
my favorite part of the whole drive is the thousands and thousands of windmills, it's a sign we're getting close.
two of adam's favorite treats- hot tamales and a furry fake mustache.  he has a hard time resisting when they only cost 50 cents, plus it always gets a laugh. he kept it on all the way from beaver to st george despite my many attempts to rip it off.
look at the temperature our car read while pulling up to their house at 6pm.  this trip is going to be hot. hot. hot.
