our conversation late last night as i leaned over to kiss adam goodnight

adam: have you brushed your teeth yet?
me: yes, why? do i stink?
adam: your breath smells like bologna
me: i swear i just barely brushed my teeth
adam: and then ate 10 slices of bologna?

this isn't the first time we've had this conversation before bed.  i thinks it's our toothpaste. so...if anyone needs a refreshing toothpaste, colgate makes a great bologna flavored one :) mmm

introducing...would you rather wednesdays!

introducing a new feature to my blog called would you rather wednesday.  every wednesday i'm going to post a would you rather question.  the would you rather game is one adam and i play quite frequently especially on long drives that we always get a kick out of.  so, please play with us and expound on your answer if you'd like, i think we could all use a good laugh

would you rather...

wear lady gaga's meat dress to your thanksgiving dinner

chug an 8 ounce glass of turkey grease?

adam says he would wear the meat dress (not a surprise cause he kills deer for sport) then eat the dress while dipping it in turkey grease.  happy thanksgiving everyone!!

newport beach california, between 10th and 11th street. my favorite place in the whole world. ever. i ache for this place on snowy days like today.

all winter long i close my eyes and picture myself in this very spot with the sun on my skin, the waves crashing in the background and the wind in my hair. i already miss summer so much and the snow has just begun. i'm in for a long winter. i wish i could hibernate like bears do.

a sleepy hollow-een

my favorite part about visiting new york was going to sleepy hollow the day before halloween. this city lives and breathes halloween! the streets were lined with scarecrows and pumpkins, all the street signs were orange and black with a headless horseman on it, the town's high school is sleepy hollow high and the mascot....you guessed it the horsemen. this town was so historic, the houses were darling, the leaves were AMAZING and the cemetary was so eerie! sleepy hollow alone was worth the trip to ny.

mr clark, may you rest in peace

i thought this pumpkin man was robotic but as i got closer to take a picture he reached out and grabbed me, scared me half to death!
chris bought all our facial hair costumes. adam was a police sketch, me einstein, kimmy who knows what and chris was abe lincoln.
hittin' up the town's block party!

even their ambulances scream halloween

the headless horseman in the flesh. we went to a haunted spook alley and the blaze (4,000 carved pumpkins amazingly displayed) two attractions that were icing on the cake!

chris and kimmy- we had a blast visiting you guys, thanks again! we'll be back!(in the terminators voice)

day 3- anyone sick of my ny posts yet? only 1 more day after this and i'm saving the best for last! on our third day in ny we took the city bus tour so we got to see the whole city and all the sites. after that we shopped till we dropped! also ate dinner at patsy's(i think that's what it was called) a delish pizza place

tiny little statue of liberty in the background, we only stayed long enough to take a quick pic cause it was freeeeeeezing!

project runway anyone?

the 3 crosby's on crosby street

adam holding hands with dwight howard at the nba store. cute.

a DAY 2 remember

day 2- some guy on the street offered us free tickets to the dave letterman show. we were unsure about it until the guy told us will ferrell was on the show that day then it was on like donkey kong! while waiting in line the workers asked us if we were excited to see the show and we acted like it was the moment we'd waited our whole lives for (a little tip the man on the street gave us). this kind of behavior landed us front row seats, smack dab in the middle, i'm tellin ya we had the best seats in the whole house! will ferrell was superb, he performed celine dion. also, slash from guns n' roses joined the band for the whole show. adam was in awe over his mad guitar skills. after the show we got to walk right by him, adam gave slash a thumbs up and slash gave adam a peace sign back. so great.

after the show chris and kimmy took us to a great thai food place. here's us at washington square park.

new york, new york, so nice they named it twice!

adam and i had a great time visiting chris and kimmy in new york! they were great hosts showing us around their city and we were so glad they were there as our tour guides otherwise the subways would have eaten us alive! we were running all over the place doing everything touristy and i took so many pictures i'll have to blog about it in days.

day 1- we took the red eye flight so slept till the afternoon. we went to the museum of modern history which i think adam thoroughly enjoyed since he spent ten years looking at every stinkin thing! later we met up with chris and kimmy for dinner at the shake shack, dessert at magnolia's bakery and walking around times square, which by the way reminds me a lot of vegas minus the people in bright shirts handing out porn.

GOLD, adam's second true love, me being the first of course

you know what they say, giant amythest is a girl's best friend!

murder mystery HP style

our 3rd annual murder mystery party this year was harry potter themed, completely written by alex grow. it was very impressive and well executed! as always it was a successful evening filled with food, laughter and false accusations.

such a sly snape look

moaning myrtle and professor snape. i give them the best dressed award

adam was lord voldemort aka the dark lord, he wore a bald head cap and i painted slits in his nose for a snake-like effect. i was luna lovegood hence the quibbler in my arm.

Dumbledore(a beardless, younger version)- the host and author

all those in attendance. the costumes were superb
