missing this boy

sittin' here watching harry potter and eatin' candy corn. i swear i used to not like candy corn but i've eaten all the other sugar in the house so it's a last resort. i'm missin my boy this weekend, he's gone hunting with the boys.

i don't wish for a second that i could go sleep in a tent with a bunch of stinky dudes when it's pouring rain outside but everything is a little more dull without adam around :)

cabin fever

awhile back my family stayed in a friends cabin up at sundance. it was the last hoorah before chris and kimmy moved to new york. we had lots of fun playing card games, eating our hearts out, painting our nails (the ladies that is) watching movies and hiking around.

adam found this stuffed squirrel in one of the rooms and it was love at first sight. he quickly earned a spot on my naughty list when he put on my head while i was making breakfast.

race day

a couple saturdays ago i ran a 5k (miles for mel) a benefit fun run for melanie kau. she is my neighbor who was diagnosed with lung cancer more information on her can be found here positiveoutlier.wordpress.com. the same day adam and some friends ran the dirty dash. it was a 10k run through a muddy obstacle course, they did the whole thing in their speedos.

post-race pic, there was mud where mud should never be! places where the sun don't shine.

this is a pre-race team pic, everyone's still squeeky clean and stink was limited.

they had a lot of fun, i think i'll give it a try next year :)

circus circus

we got to go to the circus a couple weeks ago. it was my first time and wasn't quite sure what to expect besides a bearded lady. i know it's for kids, but boy was i sure pleased with the show. the trapeze artists, contortionists and motorcyclists had me on the edge of my seat. had i'd gotten some cotton candy it would have been everything i could've hoped for

this midget was adam's favorite part of the whole show!

3 years

so lucky to be married to my best friend, he's kept me laughing everyday since we met.

we've matured so much these past 3 years...
