summer trips

we had two fabulous trips to the beach this summer and two trips to powell. we spent a ton of time chillaxin at the beach, eating tacos, shopping and checkin out the us open surf competition. i wish i was back laying on the sand right now!

we've had such a great summer and although this fall weather has been perfect, i'm so sad that summer is over! due to the fact that i never blog, i'll recap our summer in parts to prevent the picture overload. at the first of this summer adam and i did the wasatch back relay on team tortuga. it was adam's first time doing the race and my second. we ran a lot, got no sleep and had achy bellies but still had a blast. adam even did the ragnar leg and rocked it!





lucky for me i got to run behind this man in a thong on my night run, it really was a full moon! who wears a thong when they're running?! not to mention it was like 40 degrees outside!

still alive, just not the best blogger

so i guess i suck at blogging. adam and i have moved into our newly renovated house FINALLY, it only took about 10 years to get it done. we still have a few projects here and there but the bulk of the grunt work is finished and we love our new house, it's so much better than renting :) i own two cameras but never seem to carry one with me ever! therefore, i do not document my life in any shape or form so the following pictures are from my mom's computer. i need to get better at taking pictures before i have children so they know i love them ha. when i do get around to taking some pictures i'll get some afters photos of our home to post.

first up....
my beautiful mom turned 50, shhh don't tell her i published that information on the internet. so, we threw her a surprise debutaunt birthday party, but called it a "DEBBIEtaunt" (her name is debbie, hence the play on words). what is a debutaunt one might ask "a young woman making a formal debut into society" according to the french dictionary or in other words like a sweet sixteen party. she didn't want to feel old, so we threw her the opposite kind of party. it was very fun, we all dressed up in our pretties and adam dressed up as a pimp, don't ask me why...

i'm so hooked

just finished the second book in the series and it was just as good as the first. the problem is the third and final book doesn't come out until august! i'm dying. please please please if you have a suggestion for a good book let me know! i need something to pass my time at work. thanks :)

p.s. adam and i are still renovating our house we bought at the first of april. it's taking FOREVER but is looking so beautiful! i can't wait to post the before and after pics, they will knock your socks off! also can't wait to move in, hopefully just one more week.

now that i don't have homework to do i needed a good book to help pass my time at work. i stared reading this and haven't been able to put it down, it's fabulous! i plan on starting the second book when i finish but i'm sure i'll read that one fast too so if anyone has suggestions for another great read please do share!

hallelujah!

yesterday i graduated and the feeling of relief was even more than i had expected! after i finished my last final on wednesday i just walked down the hall with the biggest grin on my face. i can't believe i'm done with school, i don't think it will hit me until monday when i get to sleep in instead of going to my marketing class. my grandparents flew up from sunny california to come to my graduation, they're so great i love them so much! my family all came to support. it was a great day and i've had lots and lots of ice cream and junk this weekend to celebrate :)
