would you rather...

live in a small town

(you know you've seen this sign on your way to st george but have you ever stopped here?)

OR

a big city?

(my favorite part is that the homeless guy just goes back to sleep after shaking the rat off, like it's no biggie.  yikes!)

i think it's arguable there are pros and cons to both.  so...which do you choose?

 snorkeling and scuba diving (adam's very first dive ever he ran completely out of air with 80 feet left to the surface)

along with cave tours, mayan ruins, sunshine, card games, pineapple, reggae music, mosquitos, pina coladas and jokes.  i'd go back in a second!

would you rather: helmet vs umbrella

would you rather...

wear a bike helmet everywhere you go

(who knows why this man is wearing a helmet while he drives? you can never be too safe i guess...)

OR

carry an open umbrella everywhere you go?

(although you wouldn't have to wear this awesome chinese outfit)

I think i'd choose the umbrella.....plus the outfit.....happy wednesday everyone!

mobilin'

saturday adam and his dad let me tag along snowmobiling. adam bought himself a new "sled" this year so he'd been itchin to go. he's been wanting me to go with him forever, probably to give me a winter hobby that will tone down my extreme hatred for cold weather. 

it was a great time and although i still hate the snow, at least i now know one good use for it.

birthday boy

today my man turned one year older and wiser too.  adam is like a fine wine, he gets better with age.

i sure am a lucky lady.  happy 27th birthday adam, love ya more than you know!

hairy situation

for the past few weeks adam has been growing a "christmas beard" (even though christmas is long gone).  last sunday the bishop told all the young men's presidency they needed to be clean shaven to be examples to the young men in our ward so last night adam shaved off all his hard work for the mutal activity.  here he is before he shaved, the longest i have ever seen his facial hair in the 5+ years i've known him

to be honest, i like him with a little scruff.  it makes him look more rugged and tough. also makes him look even more like this guy

would you rather...

wear heels on a camping trip

wear birkenstocks to the oscars? 

i would choose the birkenstocks cause i'd save a little money by borrowing a pair from my grandma shirley, she's got a few! have a great wednesday!

why do i always get sucked into the most garbage shows?!  ps-what was with the chick with fangs?  weirdo.

numbers from the year

we took 8 trips, california (3 times), lake powell (twice), new york, colorado and idaho.  adam had 1 major foot surgery which included 3 casts (a white one, a black one and a camoflauge one). we purchased our first home and spent 2 1/2 months renovating, using roughly 15 cans of paint and primer.  thanks to adam's parents for letting us live with them for 9 months while we searched for the right house to buy and renovated it before moving in. ran1400 miles this year and trained for 5 races.  1 of us finished school in april (me) and 1 of us started school again in august (adam).  adam played on 2 flag football teams and won both league championships and almost another in softball.  2010 had some really great and really hard times but all in all treated us pretty well. we've got a good feeling about 2011 so bring it on!
