farewell housely's

all the friends got together to say goodbye to the housely family. they're moving to arizona for PA school so we bid them adieu with a bunch of friends and pizza.

just fyi we've all been friends since we were wee little kids. needless to say, we're going to miss them so much but are so so excited for them!

well today is my favorite sister's birthday (i'm allowed to say that cause she's my only sister). she lives in california so i though i'd send her some birthday love through the internet.  she's the baby in the family and today she turns 21 years old and wise!

we got a fever, and the only prescription is more bieber

some of us decided that once the bieb's made it to the dollar movie we had to make a girl's night out of it. we did this weeks ago, it's just taken me forever to post about it. it's my second time paying to see it in the theatre and i'm not ashamed about it one bit. loved every minute!

the theatre was all purple, justin's favorite color. couldn't have been more perfect.

today i gorged myself with one of my new favorite treats, popcorn mixed with hot tamales. if you haven't tried it, you must, it is a gift from heaven! 

i also got some some fro-yo with my mom while adam was home installing our new dishwasher. after dessert for my second time tonight, we made these canvas wreaths. sometimes you just gotta get your craft on!

well hello winter. back so soon? you didn't even give me any time to miss you. i took this pic on my morning commute to work. i drove very cautiously for fear of my life (with exeption of snapping this quick photo). i'm sorry, i was under the impression that summer break started in a week...

i was looking through some of our pictures and came to the realization that we have a hard time taking normal pictures (and by we i mean mostly adam). proof...

i might give him a hard time for not being serious, ever, but i sure do prefer it that way. he keeps things fun. love that goofball.

mr. green thumb

one of the many perks of being a homeowner is having our own backyard to use the space as we please. adam is quite the gardener. he does all the work and i reap all the benefits. for me, it's a win win.

 this year so far he's tilled the grown, planted potatoes and now we're ready to start planting the rest of our garden goodness, that is if the weather cooperates.

practice makes perfect

this weekend adam and i got to practice being parents while we watched my little niece mary. we had lots of fun watching tangled (twice) and going out for ice cream (twice) every two-year-old girl's (and 23-year-old girl's) dream come true. here's a picture of dinner friday night. she wanted to eat her pizza with two spoons. sure, why not?

i came to the realization that my house is not kid ready. i had a sum total of 2 kid things, a christmas stuffed snowman and a single children's book (both gifts from my mother-in-law). also, no sippy cups which resulted in orange juice on the carpet. it's ok though, she's so cute it makes up for it.

this day was a hole in one

yesterday we got out and enjoyed the sunny weather by playing a round of golf

 

it could not have been more beautiful. to top it off we had some dinner at cafe paesan where i met this guy...

mr jimmer fredette. (funny side note: right before walking into the restaurant i was singing "teach me how to jimmer" so it was meant to be). i debated back and forth whether or not to ask him for a picture. i decided i'd kick myself later if i didn't. he was really nice about it, one more reason to like the guy. adam told him i would want to marry him if i wasn't already married. probably true. the day was a success in my book.
