sin city

we spent this last weekend in sin city, i'd tell you what we did down there but what happens there stays there if you know what i mean :) we met up with our friends for the mountain west conference basketball tournament to support our cougs.  the games were both exciting and depressing. we had quite a large group packed into one little condo like sardines but it was great fun! i never pulled my camera out, not once.  woops.  although adam's phone caught this one of me during the bellagio water show.  i'm not posing serious just fyi, it's me making fun of all the tourists that pose like this for real.

we won't be missing vegas for too long cause it just so happens we're heading back down there this weekend with adam's family's annual vegas spring break.  back to back weekends of vegas?  you betcha, bring it on!

i'm totally team emily.  is there a cuter human being?  i think not.  my mother in law is so confident that chantal is going to win that adam and her are betting slushies on it.  i think i'm going to be enjoying a nice slush come next monday!

p.s. weren't the girls so wicked on the women tell all episode? mean. mean. mean.

now i'm a belieber

after much coaxing on my part and a strong recommendation from our friends annie and alex, i finally got adam to take me to see the new justin bieber movie. oh what a treat it was! so much talent squeezed into one scrawny little body.  oh, and did i mention it was in 3D? pure magic.  

now i'm a little too old and too married to be in love with the kid but seeing that movie sure made me want to raise a justin bieber of my own. my life is forever changed cause from here on out i will "never say never"!

halfsies

last friday we took off to sunny cold and rainy st george.  on saturday morning i ran a half marathon along with my brother and some of his in-laws.  i felt good and the race was great other than the rain, wind and rolling hills. 

 every sporting event is better when sliced oranges are included.  am i right?

i kind of want to go see his new movie but then i remember i'm 23 years old.  is that embarrassing?  adam won't go with me so who's in?

our monday night

this was too good not to capture this moment.  here is my husband just enjoying a snack, watching a great episode of the bachelor soaking his feet in a foot bath.  what a man!

anyone else get their guys to watch bachelor with them? i think guys like it just as much as we do.

red hot

we spent the weekend in moab so my crazy husband could run the moab red hot 55k (that's 34 miles) with his brother. we spent friday hiking around and exploring. the guys got checked in for their race and "carbo-loaded" (actually, adam decided it would be best to eat a pork burrito the size of a brick the night before he ran an ultra marathon)

saturday was race day.  my sister-in-law and i took her kiddos to a couple of the stops to cheer on our guys. here they are at stop #3 (17 miles in) and doing great! our car could only make it up to this one stop, all the other stops were inaccessible by car.

i ran up from the finish line to meet them so i could finish the last few miles with them. here we are at the finish line, they were so happy to see the end!

 brothers...they were a great team!

 couldn't be prouder of my man, what an accomplishment! even after a long day of running, 70mph winds, rain and crazy elevation gain he still was happy as a clam and smiling.
